Traditional and Olympic Martial Arts | Fitness Kickboxing | Summer Camp Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation Teacher Grant Program 2009-2010The Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation (LBSKF) is committed to providing and promoting educational opportunities which empower our youth and strengthen our community. With the current economic conditions affecting our country, school systems and more specifically teachers, are being asked to do more exciting and interesting projects with fewer and fewer resources. Funding sources from the federal, state and local levels are being cut and programs eliminated due to the financial circumstances we face. The LBSKF recognizes that teachers have projects they would like to implement that do not require major capital infusions. The Teacher Grant Program is designed to aid teachers with smaller projects so that these projects can be implemented and not require teachers to supply the funds out of pocket. The goal of the LBSKF is to provide at least $5,000 in grants for the 2009-2010 school year in order to provide as many opportunities as possible for teachers in our area so they can purchase necessary school supplies to enable them to positively affect their students. Proposal GuidelinesLBSKF's Teacher Grant program provides grants up to $200 to local area teachers interested in implementing an innovative educational project. Any proposal designed to enhance the education of the students will be considered provided that the described project:

About the LBSKFLBSKF is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization established in 2003. With a simple goal of making a difference in the community, we have been able to help grant numerous wishes to children through the Make a Wish Foundation. We have also given thousands of dollars in academic scholarship to college- bound students and thousands of dollars to a domestic violence shelter even becoming the largest donor for the shelter some years. The LBSKF believes in developing the whole child, physically, mentally and emotionally and has always chosen projects to sponsor with these goals in mind. With the current state of the economy we have revised our mission and are focused on providing and promoting educational opportunities which empower our youth and strengthen our community. We believe education to be one of the most important facets in a child's life and we want to make sure teachers have the tools necessary to educate our children properly. The LBSKF is run entirely by volunteers. We raise funds through the benevolence of our school members and through martial arts related events such as annual kick-a-thon, silent auction and now Movie Night just to name a few.
